Privacy Policy

Last updated 16 August 2026

ProjectEdu is a school learning app operated by the school that invited you. This policy explains what information the app stores, who can see it, and the choices you have. It describes the app's own behaviour and is written by the school, not by any third party.

What we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, role, class and section.
  • Optional parent contact details you enter yourself (parent email, WhatsApp number).
  • Learning activity: flashcards viewed, quiz and weekly test answers, scores and XP.
  • Doubts you post and the replies your teacher writes.
  • Activity timestamps used for the online status and the "inactive students" list.
  • Files you upload, such as a profile picture or topic notes photos.

How we use it

  • To show your class topics, flashcards, quizzes, exam dates and XP rank.
  • To let teachers see class progress, weak chapters and who needs help.
  • To show teacher-reviewed chapter questions and flashcards, and assemble weekly tests from them.
  • To send progress reports to a parent number a student or staff member has provided.

Who can see what

  • Your own profile, answers, scores and doubts: you, and your teachers and principal.
  • Classmates: only your display name and XP total on the class leaderboard.
  • Parent contact details: you and school staff only — never other students.
  • Nothing in the app is readable by visitors who are not signed in.

Study content

Practice questions and flashcards are supplied and reviewed by school staff. Sunday tests select questions from this saved chapter content; they do not use AI to create new questions.

Your choices

  • You can hide your online status from teachers in Reports → Privacy.
  • You can add, change or clear the parent WhatsApp number at any time.
  • You can ask your school to correct or delete your account and learning data by contacting your class teacher or principal.

Data retention

Account and learning records are kept while your account is active with the school. When the school asks for an account to be removed, its profile, activity and uploaded files are deleted from the app's database and storage.

Children's privacy

The app is used inside a school, so accounts may belong to minors. Student accounts are intended to be created with the school's knowledge, and parents can ask the school for a copy or deletion of their child's data.

Contact

For any privacy question or request, contact your class teacher or the school principal through the school's usual channels.
